Shulammite Carrot Soap Review

Anti-Acne. Oil Regulating. Skin Clarifying. eh?

Hello Ladies! I'm going to be reviewing this "Wonder Soap" as they say. The Shulammite Carrot Soap. 


1. What is the benefits of Carrots on our skin?

Carrots for Glowing Skin:
Consumption of carrots keeps your skin healthy and vibrant as they are loaded with Vitamin C and antioxidants. Carrots can also be used to prepare an inexpensive and convenient face mask. All you need to do is mix grated carrot with some honey and apply it as a face mask to get glowing skin.

Treatment of Blemishes/Scars:
Drinking carrot juice is effective in getting rid of blemishes and scars. You can also apply carrot pulp on your skin to clear the blemishes.

Anti-ageing Benefits:
Carrots also contain Vitamin C which aids collagen production in the body. Collagen is a type of protein that is vital for the maintenance of skin elasticity. It helps prevent wrinkles and locks the process of ageing. Vitamin A, being an antioxidant, also attacks the free radicals to prevent signs of ageing like wrinkles, pigmentation and an uneven skin tone.

Sun Protection:
Beta carotene in carrots is a skin-friendly nutrient that is converted to Vitamin A inside the body. It helps in repairing the skin tissues and provides protection against the sun’s harsh rays. The antioxidants and carotenoids protect and condition the skin to increase its immunity against the sun and heal sunburns. In fact, consumption of carrot juice in summer acts as a natural sunblock.

Suitable for Dry Skin:
Deficiency of potassium can lead to dry skin. Carrots are rich in potassium; hence, drinking carrot juice can prevent this problem as well as keep your skin hydrated.

Treatment of Skin Ailments:
Carrots are effective in the prevention and cure of various skin ailments. The antioxidants in this vegetable can treat skin conditions like pimples and acne, rashes, dermatitis and other skin problems caused due to Vitamin A deficiency. However, carrots should not be consumed in excess as they can cause your skin to temporarily turn yellowish orange in colour.

(Just click on the picture to enlarge it. :3) Okay, so the packaging is CUTE! and orange in color. I personally think the packaging is clean and organic looking. SO, ENOUGH with the packaging and lets get to it. :))))

It contains only 9 ingredients! Sodium Cocoate, Glycerin, Salicylic Acid, Citric Acid, Carrot Essence(Daucus Carota Sativa), Fragrance, BHT, and EDTA.

SWATCHES AND TRIALS

The Soap is big for its price: 109 Php, BUT! It is easily dissolved. So what I do is, I cut them into 3 parts or more if you wish to save them. It is basically my 3rd box now. It is easy to lather and a little goes a long way. My skin type is Oily. Sometimes I get combination skin when its cold. (but, that's rarely to happen because im in a tropical country, haha). I have dark spots from pimples acne and a small pimples on my cheek area. My basic concern is to have spots free skin. and look...

Okay so it's ahm. nevermind my face before. HAHAHA :)) So this is what my face looks like after 2 bars of the said carrot soap thats 1 month. 2 weeks per soap. I personally like how it gradually improves my skin as it lightens the VERY visible dark spots as you can see. My skin became more fairer than before for just a month. YAY! :) My face has lessen its oiliness but not to the extent where it becomes dry.

Am I going to buy again? Definitely. ^_^

CAUTION:

If you have many pimples and severe acnes, the soap might give you a stingy sensation. Always use sunblock/sunscreen with atleast 45 spf. and BRING an umbrella. :)
